intermittently check various 3rd party uptime statistics for A2 Hosting (including the
one listed above), don't be shocked when you see that they report a 100% uptime.
However, we are not responsible for outages or circumstances beyond our control
that hinder access to your site or server such as the following:
Network conditions across the internet (outside of our network),
such as between your ISP and our data center
DDoS or other attacks on our servers
Problems with Your ISP's network
Browser or DNS caching issues
Occasionally, servers and related hardware need to be brought down for routine maintenance
and upgrades to ensure that our network is secure and performing optimally. We do our best
to keep such incidents to a minimum, and will attempt to give you advance notice of any
scheduled maintenance. These scheduled service outages do not qualify for the uptime guarantee.

I was moving one of my sites over to A2. About 10 minutes after starting the process, I got a call from a Wisconsin area code. Long story short, its a sysAdmin from A2 saying that he may have messed up my site setup. The details arent important, and it turns out he didnt; he was just concerned.
So let this sink in: instead of ducking behind anonymity and letting me find out for myself that my site was broken (which, again, it wasnt), this guy owned up to a potential mistake and pro actively fixed the situation by calling me.
Wow.
Let me say that again: Wow.
This is remarkable in so many ways. In the web hosting world, its increasingly rare that you can get a human on the phone right away (Dreamhost, for instance, doesnt even *let* you call them), let alone get one to call you. And for a tech to call me is just above and beyond and much appreciated.
